The most beautiful atriums in Switzerland

An atrium is a large open space within a building, typically surrounded by several levels of rooms or other spaces. Known since the Roman times, atriums (or atria) are an architectural feature to give an impression of space and light. They are often decorated with artwork, plants, and other decorative elements to enhance their aesthetic appeal and create a welcoming environment. The Industrial Revolution with its advances in iron and glass manufacturing techniques allowed increasingly larger and more impressive designs. From the 19th century to today, here are some of my favourites in Switzerland.
