Henri Perregaux

Henri Perregaux was a Swiss architect particularly active in the canton of Vaud. Born in 1785 in Lausanne, he studied architecture under his father Alexandre Perregaux. Henri Perregaux's career was marked by several high-profile projects, such as the restoration of Lausanne cathedral's lantern tower as well as the construction of Notre-Dame du Valentin, the city's first catholic church since the reformation in 1536. In addition to his architectural career, he was active in politics and was a member of the Lausanne city council from 1815 and 1833. Henri Perregaux passed away on January 27, 1850.
