Château de l'Aile in Vevey was built between 1840 and 1846 for Jacques-Edouard Couvreu, replacing a 17th-century castle. The neo-Gothic building is partly of English inspiration and its construction called upon several architects: Philippe Franel from Vevey, Henri Perregaux from Lausanne, and finally Jacques-Louis Brocher from Geneva.
The Château de l'Aile was acquired by the city of Vevey in 1988 but later sold to private investor Bernd Grohe in 2007. Following the sale, the château underwent extensive restoration from 2008 to 2014, led by architect Christophe Amsler. These restoration works aimed to preserve and revitalize the historical essence of the château while adapting it for modern use.
