Philippe Franel

Philippe Franel was a Swiss architect known for his contributions to the architectural landscape of Vaud, particularly in the city of Vevey. Born in 1796 in Vaud, Franel pursued his architectural education in Basel and Zürich. Upon returning to Vevey in 1821, Franel quickly established himself as a sought-after architect. Among his most prominent works are the Tour de l'horloge, the Hôtel des Trois Couronnes and the Manoir de Ban. He passed away in 1867.
