The Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall is a performing arts centre used, among others, by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
Although it now appears as one single building, there have actually been several distinct constructions over time. The town hall, now the Victoria Theatre, was built in 1862. The Victoria Memorial Hall was built to plans by Swan & Maclaren between 1903 and 1905, and the 54 meter-high clock tower was added in 1906.
Anderson Bridge
Anderson Bridge is a footbridge right next to the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall. It was built between 1908 and 1910 under the oversight of Robert Pierce in order to link the Civic District on the north bank of the Singapore river with the Commercial District on the south bank. Anderson Bridge is a National Monument since 2019.
