The Vanguard Building in Singapore, built in 1908 for the Methodist Publishing House, is a beautiful example of Edwardian architecture, designed by local architectural practice Swan & Maclaren. Located at the corner of Armenian Street and Stamford Road, this three-story structure features semi-circular pediments and simple yet elegant ornamental designs. Its bookstore thrived due to its proximity to several schools, including Tao Nan School, now the Peranakan Museum. The property was purchased by Vanguard Interiors in 2001.
