The Helvetia Campus towers in Basel form the centerpiece of the insurance group’s ongoing site transformation in the Gellert district. The redevelopment combines a renovation of the original western tower, an office high-rise built to plans by Suter & Suter completed in 1955, with the addition of a second, architecturally related tower designed by Herzog & de Meuron.
Both towers are clad in around 24,000 hand-cast glass tiles. At the top, wide cantilevering roof cornices and wraparound terraces define the buildings' upper profiles.

The two cornices serve as the site for Night Raiment 2024, a large-scale light installation by American artist James Turrell, known for his immersive work with light and space.
