Rodolphe de Crousaz

Rodolphe de Crousaz was a Swiss architect born in Lausanne in 1710. He served as "maisonneur," overseeing communal buildings. Notable projects include the façade of the Temple Saint-Laurent, a prime example of Vaudois Baroque and the Ancien Hôpital de la Mercerie. He also designed Château de Beaulieu, now home to the Collection de l’Art Brut, and the Château de Vidy, which later housed the International Olympic Committee. He passed away on November 15, 1776.
