Frank Gehry

Born in 1929 in Toronto, Canada, and having emigrated to the United States in 1947, Frank Gehry became one of America’s most influential architects. He founded his Los Angeles–based firm in 1967 and was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1989. Over a career spanning more than five decades, he became renowned for his sculptural, unconventional designs - buildings that challenge traditional geometry and material use. Gehry passed away on 5 December 2025.
