The Zayed National Museum, located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, is designed to honor the legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, the museum was designed by renowned architect Norman Foster and his firm, Foster + Partners. Its architecture is inspired by the shape of falcon wings, a nod to Sheikh Zayed’s love of falconry, and uses five wing-like towers that function as thermal chimneys, naturally ventilating the museum through a sustainable cooling system.
The museum will be part of Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District.
