The Géopolis building on the Unil campus was designed by Robin Kirschke from Itten Brechbühl in Lausanne and Marc Werren from GWJ Architectes in Bern. It was completed in 2012 and is now home to the Faculties of Geosciences and Environment (GSE) and Social and Political Sciences (SSP). Its 10000 square meters of facade are composed of aluminium elements with mirror-embossed stainless steel sheets.
