The Stadtmuseum Aarau is comprised of the 25m high tower from the 13th century (“Schlössli”) and the new extension designed by Diener & Diener and completed in 2015. Its permanent exhibition 100x Aarau tells the history of Aarau through over 1000 objects and 100 stories.
Its 12m high and 25m wide main facade shows a monumental artwork by Josef Felix Müller on 134 individual panels.
