The Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore showcases the best in contemporary industrial design. It was created in 2005, and is the second Red Dot Design Museum after the one in the German town of Essen, built in 1997.
Since 2017, the Red Dot Design Museum Singapore is located along the Waterfront Promenade at the Marina Bay. The glass building was initially designed by Cox Architecture for the Marina Bay City Gallery displaying the plans for the Marina Bay district. It was refurbished by MAKK Architects, adding a mezzanine in order to increase the exhibition space.
