Founded in 1981, the Vitromusée Romont is located inside the Romont Castle. It owns the world's largest collection of reverse glass paintings.
The history of the Romont Castle goes back to Pierre de Savoie in the 13th century. The building partly collapsed in 1579 and was rebuilt at the end of the century. The renovated and expended museum opened inside the castle in 2006.
