The Beyeler foundation was created in 1982 by Swiss art dealers Ernst Beyeler and Hilda Kunz. The collection includes more than 200 works of classic modernism. With more than 300000 yearly visitors, Fondation Beyeler is the most visited art museum in Switzerland.
Designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano and completed in 1997, the museum building is located inside the Berower Park in Riehen, near Basel.
