The Plantahaus in the centre of Malans was built for Ambrosius von Planta in 1645. It was renovated between 1972 and 1974 by Swiss architect Rudolf Olgiati.
In 2020, one apartment in the building could be rented through Ferien im Baudenkmal, which currently isn't possible any more.
During the renovations the Plantahaus was divided into 7 apartments, which Rudolf Olgiati not only modernized, but also designed the furniture for.

In 2020, the apartment was still partly furnished with the original Olgiati furniture. The new interior design was by  Barbara Gredinger. The kitchen and dining area have a simple vaulted ceiling.
