Schloss Hünegg in Hilterfingen was designed by German architect Heino Schmieden and built between 1861 and 1863 for the Prussian Baron Albert Emil Otto von Parpart.
Schloss Hünegg's architecture is inspired by the Renaissance castles in the French Loire valley. It was purchased by architect Gustav Lemke-Schuckert in 1899 who proceeded with renovations and re-decorations in the Art Nouveau style.
