Biel/Bienne is a bilingual city in the Canton of Berne with a population of about 55,000. It is located near the watch-making cities La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle and is known for its watch industry: among many others, the world's largest watch company Swatch Group is headquartered in Biel/Bienne and the city also has a Rolex production plant.
