The Novartis Campus in Basel is a 20-hectare site located in the St. Johann district, serving as the global headquarters for Novartis AG. Initiated in 2001 under the direction of architect Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani, the campus was developed to transform a former industrial area into a center for research, administration, and collaboration in the life sciences. The campus features approximately 20 buildings designed by internationally renowned architects, including Frank Gehry, David Chipperfield, SANAA, and Herzog & de Meuron, among others. In addition to its architectural significance, the campus incorporates public spaces, art installations, and facilities such as the Novartis Pavillon, which hosts exhibitions and events related to science and medicine.
