Mario Botta

Mario Botta is a Swiss architect born on April 1st 1943 in Mendrisio, Ticino. He studied at the Istituto Universitario di Architecttura in Venice and after working during the 1960s with Le Corbusier and Louis I. Kahn, created his own office in 1970 in Lugano. His building generally present a strong geometric aspect. Mario Botta was awarded the Prize Javier Carvajal by the Universidad de Navarra in 2014.
