Louis Wenger

Swiss architect Louis Wenger was born on May 31, 1809 in Lausanne. He worked in the architectural practice of Henri Perregaux before studying in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts between 1827 and 1830. In addition to working as an architect, he was also a politician at all levels: over time, he was a member of the city council of Lausanne, the Grand Council of Vaud, the Council of States and the National Council. He died on August 11, 1861.
