Julius Natterer

Julius Natterer was a prominent German engineer and pioneer in the field of timber construction. Born in 1938 in Bavaria, he studied at the Technical University of Munich. He taught at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) from 1978 until 2004 and founded and led EPFL's Laboratory for Timber Constructions (IBOIS). He died in 2021.
