Friedrich August Stüler was a German architect born in 1800 in Mühlhausen, Thüringen. He studied in Berlin under Karl Friedrich Schinkel. In 1858, he was awarded the Royal Gold Medal by the Royal Institute of British Architects and in 1864, he became a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He died in 1865.
