Bruno Giacometti

Swiss architect Bruno Giacometti was born in 1907 in Stampa, Val Bregaglia into a family of artists: his father was painter Giovanni Giacometti, his older brother the sculptor Alberto Giacometti, and his godfather Swiss painter Ferdinand Hodler. He studied at ETH Zürich from 1926 until 1930 and after having worked in the architectural practice of Karl Egender, opened his own practice in 1940. Most of his projects can be found in the cantons of Zürich and Grisons. He died in 2012 at the age of 104.
