3XN

Established in Aarhus in 1986 as Nielsen, Nielsen & Nielsen, 3XN is a Danish architectural practice headquartered in Copenhagen with additional offices in Stockholm, London, New York, and Sydney. The firm was founded by Kim Herforth Nielsen, Hans Peter Svendler Nielsen, and Lars Frank Nielsen; today, it is led by a senior partner group of five with Kim Herforth Nielsen serving as Creative Director. 3XN gained international recognition following the completion of the Danish Embassy in Berlin and has since designed high-profile projects including cube berlin, the Olympic House in Lausanne, and the Quay Quarter Tower in Sydney. Their work often integrates research from their dedicated R&D department, GXN, which was established in 2007 to focus on green materials, digital technologies, and circular design principles.
