The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi is an interfaith complex designed to promote dialogue and understanding between the three Abrahamic religions: Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. Located on Saadiyat Island, this unique project symbolizes the UAE’s commitment to religious tolerance and coexistence. The complex embodies simplicity and modernity, while subtly referencing traditional architectural elements from the three religions it represents. Its inauguration took place on February 16, 2023.
The architectural design of the Abrahamic Family House was led by Ghanaian-British architect David Adjaye. Each house of worship is built in the form of a cube, symbolizing equality and harmony. The cubic structures are carefully positioned to allow natural light to enter in specific ways, creating a serene atmosphere inside each building.
