Warsaw's metro station Centrum Nauki Kopernik was built by a consortium of Astaldi, Gülermak and Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Dróg i Mostów (AGP Metro) to plans by Polish architect Andrzej M. Choldzynski. It is part of the M2 line and located 19 meters below ground.
While constructed started at the end of 2010, the stations wasn't inaugurated before March 8, 2015. Construction time was so long since after an accident in August 2012, the station flooded and construction was suspended for almost a year.
The main color of the station is blue and its escalators are located inside semi-circular glass tunnels with irregularly placed light points. The escalators have a length of over 40 meters, making them the longest in Poland.
The graphic design of the station is by Wojciech Fangor.
