Located near the Trevi Fountain, Galleria Sciarra was commissioned in the 1880s by Prince Maffeo Sciarra as part of a larger building complex designed to house offices and commercial spaces. The structure was designed by architect Giuseppe De Angelis, with its decorative scheme executed by Giulio Aristide Sartorio. Completed in 1888, the space features an iron-and-glass ceiling, which allows natural light to flood the space. The interior walls are richly decorated with vibrant frescoes by Sartorio, depicting allegories of feminine virtues such as Fidelity, Modesty, Charity, and Strength.
