The Catholic Church Saint John the Baptist in Romanshorn with its 70 meter high tower was built between 1911 and 1913 to plans by Swiss architect Adolf Gaudy. The facade is made of limestone from the Jura mountains. 4 statues decorate the main entrance: they represent bishops of Constance (at the bottom), Saint John and Saint Gallus.
The paintings and stained glass windows of the Romanesque Revival building were designed by Fritz Kunz.
