The OFS Tower in Neuchâtel, completed between 2000 and 2003, was designed by the Swiss architectural firm Bauart Architectes SA. This 50-meter-high building, located adjacent to the Neuchâtel train station, houses the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. The tower, with its 15 floors, is a prime example of innovative and sustainable design.
One of its key features is a double-skin façade, which allows for the opening of windows on all levels. This design enhances natural ventilation, helping to lower energy costs during the summer months by reducing the need for air conditioning. Additionally, the tower is equipped with over 1,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels on its roof, contributing to the building's energy efficiency by harnessing solar power.
