The Swiss Museum of Transport (Verkehrshaus der Schweiz) was built on the shores of Lake Lucerne between 1957 and 1959. It is Switzerland's most visited museum and shows exhibits from five domains of transport: air travel, trains, cars, boats and cable cars.
The Road Transport Hall was designed by Gigon Guyer and built between 2005 and 2009. Its facade is covered by 344 traffic signs !
The Hans Erni Museum is also located on the premises of the Swiss Transport Museum.
