Hôtel des horlogers in Le Brassus was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) with CCHE as the local architecture partner. After 4 years of construction, the 4 star, Minergie-ECO certified hotel opened in summer 2022. Hôtel des horlogers features 50 rooms and two restaurants.
Only the lobby area is visible from the road.
The five rectangular volumes comprising the hotel embrace the natural slope of the valley in a zig-zag motion. This layout ensures unobstructed views of the meadow and the Risoud forest from every room.
Both indoors and outdoors, a continuous, stairless path connects all levels, and inspires walking instead of taking the elevator.
The interior design by French firm AUM is a homage to the surrounding landscape and emphasises local materials such as wood and stone.
All rooms have large windows. Power outlets and USB connectors in the nightstands take care of charging personal electronics and in a true boutique hotel fashion, you can even select your preferred pillow for the night !
Both the lobby and the Espace Inspiration feature bookshelves with watchmaking and art books and seats to relax and literally, be inspired.
The Bar des horlogers and the two restaurants, Le Gogant and La table des horlogers, are under the direction of three-Michelin-starred chef Emmanuel Renaut.
