The hotel Château d'Ouchy in Lausanne was designed by Francis Isoz in the neo-gothic style and built between 1888 and 1893 for Jean-Jacques Mercier. It replaced a medieval fortress from the 13th century from which only the donjon was preserved and that Mercier had bought in 1884.
