One of the temple's most captivating features is its meticulously crafted garden, designed by the legendary landscape architect Kobori Enshu between 1611 and 1632. This garden, known as the Crane and Turtle Garden, was designed like a two dimensional picture as it can only be viewed from the veranda of the Main Hall.
