The Kunstmuseum Thurgau's home is since 1983 inside Karthause Ittingen. The exhibition rooms were designed by Antoniol + Huber Architekten. Its collection goes back to the Thurgau Art Association, founded in 1935 and is owned by the canton of Thurgau. It contains mostly regional art from the Lake Constance region.
