The Malopolska Garden of Art was designed by Krzysztof Ingarden & Ewy Architects and constructed in 2005. Two institutions are housed inside the Malopolska Garden of Arts: the Juliusz Slowacki Theatre and the Malopolska Voivodeship library.

In 2012, it was awarded the prize for the best architectural achievement in Kraków.
