Hôtel Belvédère in Gletsch was built in 1882 on the road to the Furka mountain pass. It was extended a first time in 1890 and a second time in 1903, then having 90 beds. It appeared in the 1964 James Bond film "Goldfinger" and is the cover photo of the "Accidentally Wes Anderson" book. It is closed since 2015.
