Théâtre Equilibre is a theatre in the centre of Fribourg. The building was designed by Swiss architectural practice Dürig AG and inaugurated on December 19, 2011 with the ballet Cinderella.
The building has a height of 30 meters, while measuring 29 by 31.5 meters on the ground. Including the cantilevers, its total length is over 60 meters. Its center is used by the foyer on the ground floor and then the stage tower above it. The cantilever to the left contains the rehearsal rooms and administrative offices while the auditorium with close to 700 seats is located on the right with a slightly slanted underside.

The shape of the building was chosen in order to leave the maximum possible unobstructed space on the ground.
