The International Hot-Air Balloon Festival in Château d'Oex is held yearly at the end of January. The first edition was in 1979.

In 2024, a total of 60 balloons from 15 different countries were flying in Château d'Oex. In addition to the balloons, there was, as always, the opportunity to do helicopter and dirigible flights.
