In Chur, the Grand Council Building is home both to the municipal theatre and the Grand Council ! It was built between 1861 und 1863 to plans by Johannes Ludwig. Valerio Olgiati redesigned the entrance in 2008/2009 with a white concrete extension “Equiliber”. The 90 ton concrete roof seems to balance on a disc-like column.
