Sion's cathedral was built between the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. Its Romanesque bell tower from the 12th century Romanesque was preserved. It has five floors with an octagonal brick spire.

In 1949, the windows in the apse were created by Auguste Wanner. The stained glass windows in the nave were created by Paul Monnier between 1951 and 1952.
