Kunsthaus Bregenz was designed by Peter Zumthor and opened in 1997 after three years of construction. It presents temporary contemporary art exhibitions while its collections contains, among others, over 300 architectural models by Peter Zumthor. Peter Zumthor was awarded the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture in 1998 for this building.
Architecture
The self-supporting glass facade of Kunsthaus Bregenz is composed of 712 panels of etched glass that filter and channel the daylight into the exhibition floors. By choosing a cube layout for the museum instead of a one-story layout, it was possible to create a new public space, the "Karl-Tizian-Platz". A concrete Porsche is installed on this square in front of the museum since 2017. It is one of the eleven "911"s, Austrian artist Gottfried Brechthold created in 1971.

2022-10-22 - 2023-02-19
In her exhibition Period of Change at Kunsthaus Bregenz, she explores historical upheavals and opposition movements through installations, drawings, and figurative ensembles, often caricaturing political and philosophical figures. Her works blend literary commentary, historical reflection, and personal mythology
