The kHaus complex in Kleinbasel was originally built to plans by Basel architect Johann Jakob Stehlin-Burckhardt between 1860 and 1863 as barracks for the Swiss Army. It was used by the Swiss Army until 1966.
It was converted into public spaces for community life in 2022 by Focketyn del Rio Studio.
