The Trafo-Komplex in Baden was initially built between 1942 and 1956 to plans by Roland Rohn as a high tension laboratory for company BBC. It was renovated and transformed between 2002 and 2005 by Burkard Meyer Architekten.
Electrical transformers were assembled inside Hall 37 until the 1970s. With a surface of 1400 square meters, it is now the largest of the several event halls inside the building. The smaller Trafohalle (transformer hall) was formerly a high-voltage laboratory.
