Frank Stella

Frank Stella, born in 1936 in Malden, Massachusetts, was a renowned American painter and sculptor celebrated for his contributions to abstraction and minimalism. His works can not only be seen in museums, but also in some public spaces, such as the lobby of the Ritz Carlton Millenia in Singapore. In recognition of his artistic achievements, he received, in 1996, an honorary Doctorate from the University of Jena in Germany and in 2009, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts by American President Barack Obama. He died on May 4, 2024.
