Shigeru Ban is a Japanese architect born in 1957 in Tokyo. Throughout his career, he has shared his expertise with students at institutions such as Harvard University and Columbia University, and presently serves as a faculty member at Keio University. He was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2014 and in 2024 he has been named as the laureate of the Praemium Imperiale for Architecture. Among his most famous creations are the Centre Pompidou-Metz, the Aspen Art Museum, and the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center. The following photo series explore some of the buildings he designed.
