Paul Adolphe Tièche

Paul Adolphe Tièche was a Swiss architect known for his contributions to the architectural landscape of Switzerland during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in 1838 in Bévilard in the Swiss Jura, he studied at ETH Zürich between 1856 and 1859 under Gottfried Semper. He continued his education in France, first at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, then in the architectural practice of Louis-Frédéric de Rutté in Mulhouse. His works range from public buildings to hotels and private residences. Starting in 1882, he was also active in politics. Paul Adolphe Tièche passed away in 1912 in Bern.
