The Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) is Antwerp's largest museum and located in the Eilandje district, adjacent to the River Scheldt. Designed by Neutelings Riedijk Architects following a 2000 architectural competition, the museum opened to the public on May 17, 2011. The MAS houses over 470,000 artifacts, with exhibitions exploring Antwerp's maritime history and its global connections.

Standing 60 meters tall, the building features a distinctive design of stacked, rotated volumes clad in red Indian sandstone and undulating glass panels, creating a spiraling promenade that offers panoramic views of the city and port.
